2014 LSC Guide 21C LearningThe Link Teaching and Learning Center at Duke University is featured in “Planning for assessing 21st century spaces for 21st century learners,” which has been published by the Learning Spaces Collaboratory.

The guide offers strategies for academic institutions and designers as they seek to imagine, develop, and evaluate the success of contemporary learning environments. The guide illustrates how research findings are informing campus-based programmatic and pedagogical change, and the process of transforming physical spaces to respond to them.

2010 PKAL Learning Space Collaboratory National Colloquium. Whew! That’s quite a mouthful. I was fortunate enough to attend, and it was a great weekend of very robust discussion (and some fun!).

Under the guidance of Jeannie Narum, Principal of the Collaboratory, nearly a hundred educators, higher ed administrators, architects, planners, landscape architects, librarians, scientists, and others came together to share their knowledge and questions about “What We Know About Planning Learning Spaces and What We Still Need to Know”.
