Renovation and new construction at 184-year-old men’s college increases on-campus housing capacity by 25%
PHOENIX – December 5, 2016 - Shepley Bulfinch, a national architecture firm known for design excellence and innovation with offices in Boston, Houston and Phoenix, announced today the completion of 22,500 SF of renovations to Martindale Hall and 49,200 SF of new construction on the Residential Life District at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Follows architecture firm’s work on adjacent Harvard Innovation Lab (i-lab)

The Pagliuca Harvard Life Lab team has been busy over the last several months, getting ready for this state-of-the-art wet lab environment to become home to a curated community of 17 growth-stage life sciences startups. Harvard recently announced these new community members, which you can learn about on their web site.

Troy, NY – “Thank you for our new home!” read the banner held by students at the formal dedication and tour of the Emma Willard School’s new community life spaces on its historic campus.
The dedication was part of the school’s Celebration 2007 weekend. Other highlights of the weekend included the “Women, Power, and Responsibility” symposium and the We Are Emma celebration.
The renovation of the first and ground floor spaces in Sage/Hyphen/Kellas Halls encompasses a renovation and dining room addition. The dining room was designed to create a “welcoming hearth” for students, with a feel akin to that of a kitchen in a very large stately home. The design ...[more]

On Wednesday, November 2nd, Shepley Bulfinch was proud to host the Boston-area “Lab of the Future” Meetup group’s first official meetup at our office. With Lab Design as the theme for the first meetup, organizers Lindsey Christensen and Robin Shin arranged for the discussion to revolve around laboratory design happening in our own backyards at Harvard and MIT. After mingling over pizza and drinks (courtesy of the event’s co-sponsor TetraScience), attendees took their seats for the two-part presentation.
