28 September 2014

University of Calgary, Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Salem State - Berry Library stairWhat are the challenges and opportunities in designing libraries for the 21st century?

Shepley Bulfinch president Carole Wedge and interior designer Sara DiNoto were among the featured panelists addressing the subject at this year’s conference, speaking about placemaking, the planning and design process, and the role of library projects as catalysts of organizational change.

The conference, now in its third year, drew librarians, technologists, architects, and education from across North America. It is hosted by the University of Calgary, in conjunction with the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI) and North Carolina State University Libraries.
