Strategies in Planning Two Major Cancer Centers

19 November 2013

Healthcare Design '13, Orlando, FL

Jennifer Aliber, AIA, Shepley Bulfinch

Aliber_150x150_72dpiHow do key components, challenges, and determinants drive the design and planning of major academic medical center cancer centers in different ways?

Shepley principal Jennifer Aliber and her fellow roundtable leaders explore this in “No one answer: decision points and strategies in planning two major cancer centers,” a discussion that compares and contrasts two large high-rise urban facilities within established academic medical communities: the Yawkey Center for Cancer Care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven.

Jennifer is joined by Margie DeBolt of ZGF and their clients, David Vinas of Yale-New Haven Hospital and Wendy Gettleman of Dana-Farber.
