Student housing project underway at Purdue

Monday, 21 January 2013

Student housing - West Lafayette, INConstruction is now underway for new student housing being developed by Campus Acquisitions near Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. The project received final approval from the city of West Lafayette earlier this month.

The development will transform an under-utilized urban parcel with small commercial structures and an open parking field into a vibrant part of the city landscape. The mixed-use student housing complex establishes a compelling civic presence to this high-profile urban block, with 229 residential units with 489 beds and ground-floor retail that serves the surrounding neighborhood.

The five-story project will include parking for 152 bicycles and 458 cars. The ground-floor retail includes a fresh market grocer, bookstore, bank, and several restaurants.

Residential amenities will include an expansive fitness center, yoga and crossfit studios, collaborative study rooms, a club lounge, and a landscaped courtyard.

The project is scheduled to open at the start of the 2014-2015 academic year.
