24 June 2012

American Library Association 2012 Annual Conference, Anaheim, CA

Janette Blackburn joins this panel of architects, librarians and consultants for an overview of the latest ideas in planning public and academic library facilities. Topics include the rethinking of spaces for services, new building design and other “must have” items to keep academic libraries up-to-date.

The panel is moderated by Kay Runge. Also on the panel is Gail McClenney, Deputy Director of the Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library. The library’s transformation and the creation of its new learning commons received a 2012 ALA/IIDA library interior design award.

The session is sponsored by LLAMA (Library Leadership & Management Association).
